My name is Michele Medina.
I am based out of the Fort Worth/Keller location on Heritage Trace Pkwy. Although I do cover for all 3 DFW locations when needed.
I came to be in the medical field after parting ways with an orthodontic lab I had been with for 8 years. I decided to go back to school for skills in a completely different field. I chose medical insurance billing and coding. While in school, every mod I would make the dean’s or president’s list.
After I graduated, I worked for a family practice. I was eager to learn and gain knowledge and experience in every position while there. Sadly the doctor was battling with cancer and needed to close the office.
My favorite part of my job is working with ladies who have a fantastic work ethic. You don’t find that often. We have an amazing team here! When I started with R3 over 3 years ago, I was at the front desk. Seeing patients walk in for their evaluations sickly, in need of care and after they had completed their round(s) of hyperbarics, seeing them leave a completely different person was always amazing. I loved getting to know the HBO patients, since we would see them daily, they really became family. They still stop by to this day to say hi to us. Majority of our patients, although want to heal, don’t want to stop coming to us. The love and care we genuinely give our patients is something we all pride ourselves on.
I have a wonderfully blended family that consists of my boyfriend Armando of 8 years with his daughter Alyssa. I myself have 3 kids. My oldest daughter Mia, her boyfriend Edward and my 3 year old granddaughter Clementine (Clem). My second daughter, Vanessa has 2 children, Isabella (Izzy) who’s 3 years old and Tomas who is 2 years old. Last but not least, my son Paul who has recently enlisted in the U.S. Marines and is eagerly waiting to be shipped off to bootcamp.
I’ve recently started to change some things in my life after a checkup earlier this year. I’ve started to live a healthy lifestyle and I’m working hard to be physically fit. I love to bowl and was on a bowling league years back, which was super fun! I love to axe throw, as well as hit up batting cages.
I have too many favorite shows to mention although, I haven’t been watching much t.v anymore since my lifestyle has changed. I can say this, I am excited and eager for Handmaid’s Tale to return. I was a HUGE G.O.T fan. The Ozark is great and I love Curb Your Enthusiasm.
My favorite part of living in the DFW area is the fact that majority of my family live here in town with the exception of my parents and brother who are in California.
