Help Fight Epilepsy
What is Epilepsy?
Epilepsy is the fourth most common neurological disorder in the world. If you have epilepsy, surges of electrical activity in your brain can cause recurring seizures. We can help you understand everything you need to know about epilepsy and what you can do about it.
Epilepsy is a brain disorder that causes recurring, unprovoked seizures. Your doctor may diagnose you with epilepsy if you have two unprovoked seizures or one unprovoked seizure with a high risk of more. Not all seizures are the result of epilepsy. Seizures may relate to a brain injury or a family trait, but often the cause is completely unknown.
The word “epilepsy” simply means the same thing as “seizure disorders.” It does not state anything about the cause of the person’s seizures or their severity.
Help Us Fight Epilepsy
Nothing makes us fight harder than knowing how many people are affected by this heinous disease. That is why we are encouraging everyone to do whatever they can to bring relief to those continuing to fight Epilepsy, or to help fund the research for a cure.
Please visit the Epilepsy Foundation and give in the manner that you can. Whether it is donating household goods that you no longer want or need, or by pitching in a few dollars (or more) to help the Epilepsy Foundation do what they do best-be a superhero that is fighting along side so many faced with Epilepsy.

A Hero Who Is No Longer Fighting
Stephen J. Buches, age 8, of Gibsonia, died peacefully at home after a lifelong battle with KCNQ2 Epilepsy.
Stephen was a student at the Western PA School for Blind Children. He enjoyed reading books, taking walks around his neighborhood, watching football with his Dad and little brother, swinging in his swing, hitting piñatas, bouncing on the trampoline, and most of all being with his sisters, brother, and loving family.
His love for the Incredible Hulk is why we have changed our logo to honor him.
He touched the lives of our team personally, and we know he is one of many to fight, or have fought Epilepsy. Our prayers are with the Buches and all those who continue to fight!
