Summary of Role

R3 LVN/LPNs play a vital role in assuring our Advanced Healing Center’s quality, safety, service, and access by providing flexibility within our patient care teams as multi-function cross trained healthcare professionals, ensuring continuity of care for every patient. The comprehensive role focuses on 3 areas within a clinic – Wound Care Nursing, support & delivery of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, and Patient Care Coordination.

We provide best in class training in-house in conjunction with leading clinical partners & specialists in every market. We invest in and desire our team members to pursue professional certifications in both Wound Care & Hyperbarics.

Effective communication and team orientated approach is critical for clinics success. Desire to deliver PERSONALIZED CARE is essential, as many of our patients require care weekly for Wound Care and daily for Hyperbarics – so if you find joy and satisfaction in working closely with patients throughout their care journey, seeing their progress and celebrating their HEALING, then this is the job for you!

Duties and Responsibilities

Wound Care Nursing Support

  • Assist the clinic Provider with wound care patients
  • Obtain chief complaint, review of systems, medical, social, surgical, and family histories
  • Perform vitals, documentation in EMR, assist with clinical orders and procedures
  • Track and order medical/office supplies
  • Responsible for knowing emergency protocols and locations of protocols
  • Maintain accurate records regarding allergies, medications, medical, surgical, social, and family histories. Obtaining medical records from physician offices, imaging, testing and other ancillary

Patient Care Coordination

  • Responsible for greeting patients and visitors, answering phones and scheduling appointments in a professional and timely manner
  • Process all referrals faxed, in-house referrals, and live calls from providers and patients in a timely manner. Obtain patient PCP referrals when necessary.
  • Ensure complete and accurate patient registration, including patient demographic and current insurance information.
  • Contact insurance companies to ensure verifications of benefits and prior authorizations approval requirements are met.
  • Place outbound calls to patients to schedule appointments.
  • Coordinating referrals and providing “white glove” service to referral partners and patients

Qualifications

  • Must be a licensed by Texas Board of Nursing
  • Wound care experience is preferred but not required, will train! 
  • Strong multi- tasking ability
  • Must have and maintain a positive attitude and outlook
  • Must be able to work in a truly cohesive team environment
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Maintains an elevated level of customer service and compassion with all patients
  • Must have a valid Texas driver’s license
