Hyperbarics Oxygen Technician or Certified Medical Assistant

Schedule: Monday – Friday (8am-5pm) Full Time

Reports to: Clinic Director and Director of Hyperbarics

Location: Frisco, TX

R3 Wound care and Hyperbarics is seeking a talented CMA or Hyperbarics Oxygen Technician to join our exceptional team to work at our Arlington, TX, location!

* ATTENTION* Experienced Hyperbaric Oxygen Technicians or Certified Medical assistants, that have gained Hyperbarics experience, but have not attained your certification. R3 is willing to invest in your career development. R3 will cover the cost of the Hyperbarics certification! Certification must be obtained within the 1st 6 months of employment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records regarding medical history, hyperbaric treatment, and results of each patient session.
  • Perform BG test pre and post dive for all first-time patients. Thereafter perform BG test on all diabetic patient’s pre-dive and PRN post-dive
  • Responsible for knowing all parameters for vital signs.
  • Responsible for knowing emergency protocols and location of protocols.
  • Responsible for greeting patients and visitors, answering phones and scheduling appointments in a professional and prompt manner as needed.
  • Rooming patients, complete pre-screening questions and cleaning rooms
  • Assist the clinic Provider with wound care patients.
  • Function as the back-up Hyperbaric Chamber Operator and assist chamber changes.
  • Ensure all hyperbaric chambers are in working order.
  • Performs necessary maintenance to systems daily and as needed.
  • Check acrylic on all chambers once a month or more as needed.
  • Track and Order Medical/Office Supplies
  • Additional Administrative duties to perform as needed Perform pre-dive vitals on all patients.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Punctuality in adherence to assigned daily schedule (Monday – Friday / 10am-7pm).
  • Maintain a positive attitude with team members, patients, and performance.
  • Maintain an elevated level of customer service and compassion with patients.
  • Always ensure safety of all patients
  • Effectively communicate with patients and team members.
  • Accurately and efficiently maintain and update all patient files, records, and documents.
  • Update weekly reports as needed and distribute accordingly.
  • Understand and adhere to work rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Always maintain a professional and tidy appearance.
  • Follow all patient privacy and HIPAA rules.
  • Accept direction from all members of management.

Qualifications

  • Minimal 6 months of hyperbaric experience preferred.
  • (HBOT) Must either be a Certified Hyperbarics Technician or gain certification within six (6) months of hire.
  • (CMA) Certified Medical Assistant – Certification required.
  • 1 year of Wound care experience.
  • Must be able to commit to appointed schedule and work flexible hours as needed.
  • Strong multitasking capability.
  • Must have and maintain a positive attitude, outlook, and performance.
  • Must be able to work in a truly cohesive team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Maintains an elevated level of customer service and compassion with all patients.
  • Must have excellent bedside manner.
  • Must have a valid Texas driver’s license.
