The deficiency of red blood cells reduces the oxygen-carrying capacity of blood, starving tissues and organs of oxygen. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy’s ability to infuse tissues and blood with oxygen makes it an approved treatment for severe anemia caused by blood loss. Less serious types of anemia are more appropriately treated in other ways.
